Wednesday May 11 was held on McHappy, important event in the Lower Laurentians, which supports the Autism Foundation Laurentians.

Thanks to the generosity of people who responded enthusiastically to the call that day, it was possible to raise a whopping $ 23 500, an amount higher than $ 2 500 compared to a year last.

"This year we are raising funds for day camp dedicated to serve the 28 autistic children in the MRC Thérèse-De Blainville, and for weekend respite. Each raised $ 1 000 allows a weekend break for four autistic children at home in Blainville or a day of summer camp for 15 young people ", said Executive Director of Autism Foundation Laurentians, Guylaine Robert at the conference press before the event.

For every Big Mac, Happy Meal sold coffee in five McDonald's restaurants in the region, $ 1 was donated to the Foundation.

"We received donations of cash and checks issued by some business partners," stated Albert Levy franchised McDonald Rosemere, which counted on the patronage of actors Frédérique Dufort and Guy Jodoin.

The presence of the actor Emmanuel Auger was also noted at the restaurant of Rosemere. The latter seemed to have fun with gay children. It will be recalled that Emmanuel Auger has participated in numerous festive events to help the Autism Society of the Laurentians in recent years.
